Just returned from nightmare of all nightmare experience due to Air Malta. Outward bound flight form Manchester to Zante. Original flight time was 05.30 a.m and changed at last minute to 7.50. Arrived at Manhester Airport to unconfirmed delay. Eventually boarded at 12.00 and sat on the tarmac for 1.5hrs hrs. Air Stewardess then opened the door too soon for final checks prior to outside platform being in place which activated the emergency chute! Plane no longer can fly. Do they not train their staff? We were then told to wait in the airport which resulted in us be herded to arrivals, uplifted our bags eventually and bused to B'Ham Airport and abandoned. Once onboard another Air Malta flight I started to realise what a 2nd class company this is. Total of 9.5 hrs delay. Surely we wouldn't be that unlucky to be delayed on the return to the UK! Oh yes. 7 HRS which included a fuel stop at Viennes, hacked off air stewardesses, not enough food onboard, no entertainment even though there were t.v's and a lot of unhappy passengers.I would never book with Air Malta again. I wish I had read these reviews before booking. This was no bad luck but a totally disorganised poorly run Company.
