I have used a Browning auto 5 Sweet 16 and later a 12ga. 870 Remington since 1954, still have both. Always wanted an over and under but too expensive. Until I found the Huglu U2E the price was right. I have not been disappointed, It took some time to adjust to the operation of the over and under, It has functioned perfectly since day one. I am a life long Machinist and Manufacturing Engineer I appreciate the quality of material and fine workmanship in this gun.
Bad Points
The Turkish walnut is very fine but the oil finish marks rather easy. This is to be expected, I am sure this is why many guns have a polyurethane finish.
General Comments
The only thing I wish I had done was to buy a smaller gage maybe 28 or 20 gage. At 75 years of age a 12 gage is getting heavy for an all day hunt. I can still shoot well and don't need the 12 gage to bring down a ring neck. Well if it gets too heavy I can always switch over to my old Sweet 16, I always bring it along just in case. No matter the Huglu sure is a beauty and it gets lots of admiring looks in the field. It was a life long dream to own a fine looking over and under, the Huglu does the job very well.
