I have just bought one of these Liberator collars (probably too late to save the sparrows nest in my neighbour's roof) and found that it is unpredicatable in its function. It lights up and emits a noise only fitfully, which is of hardly any use at all. I have heard that the thing to get is a CatAlert collar - more expensive at £19.99, but hopefully more effective!
In my search for an effective bird alert collar I read that someone had heard of a collar accessory sonic deterrent capable of emitting a sound too high for the cat or human ear, but audible to birds. Anyone else heard of this? Know of it? I can't find any hard evidence for it but would love to get one if such a thing existed! My heart is breaking with the carnage my cat is wreaking...but also: he is a Maine Coon cross and very keen on other cats. He has a lot of feline friends and I am worried that a sonic deterrent audible to cats will go off when they are playing and might therefore have the effect of alienating his chums. Anyone got any information about this?
