I tried to return an item to Zara for a refund. They refused because although I had my receipt, I did not have the credit card receipt! They staple the 2 together and they had come apart. The credit card receipt is for my own records so I thought! Unfortunately I will not be able to return to the shop before the month is up, so I will not be entitled to a refund, only an exchange - apparently this is not guaranteed either, but at the manager's discretion!
Very poor customer service - I will not be returning except to exchange (if the manager lets me!)
