MGMT, Oracular Spectacular Review

I am a little disappointed in the fact it took me so long to discover the delights of Oracular Spectacular by MGMT. This album magnifies all that is good in the music industry today by going back to basics. Although there is nothing new about this album as the sound has been heard before, it is refreshing to hear the old sounds of the seventies racing back with each track yet remaining modern in the sense of the lyrics with up to date themes running through. As with almost every album this has a stand out track and for me it is Time to Pretend, and no matter how many times I take Oracular Spectaculart out of the CD player it's never long before it's back in again. Overall, it is one of the better albums I have heard this year so far and I am finding it pretty addictive at the moment and think if you like your old school rock you will too.
