“I'm reviewing my one from the early 90s. I'm sure...”

Good Points
Small, lightweight, easily stored, powerful, accurate. Not bad on the eye either.

Bad Points
Don't like the finish effect on the new one. My one is from 1991/2 and is not only the old shape, but has a complete black finish.

General Comments
I'm reviewing my one from the early 90s. I'm sure they haven't changed much performance wise.

Back then I was in my early teens and over the course of a year bought all the Barnett catapult range, strike 9, BW, Pro Diablo and a few years later the cobra.

While I loved the Pro D it was a pain to carry about. So I bought the BW. Never looked back. It was easy to carry or conceal, in those days parents didn't like the thought of them. It was just as powerful as a Pro or a Cobra, I know this from extensive use. All my 'pults had magnum bands and destroyed a multitude of water filled targets, cans/bottles/milk cartons/windows(accidental of course) with equal ease.

While the Pro and Cobra look whiz-bang, their add-ons are essentially pointless, and while it may not have the goofy gizmos the BW is to me, forever and always, the best of a great bunch.

Infact, I think I'll buy one of the new ones and put it up against my original.
