Good Points

Huge choice. No high pressure sales techniques. No haggling required.


Bad Points

Very expensive now : local main dealer offering much better value for money.


General Comments

Some years ago, I purchased a Ford Mondeo Estate from Fords of Winsford. My trade-in car was in poor condition so was offered trade value which was a very fair offer. Overall then, I was a very satisfied customer. Recently, I returned to them seeking a Focus Estate, and with a decent trade-in car. I was shocked : the trade-in offer was miserable and most of their Focus Estate cars I looked at had some sort of visible accident damage. One car had an "interesting" number of tyre makes fitted! My local Ford main dealer were FAR better: sensible trade-in offer, and their cars weren't that much more expensive which meant their "price to change" (ie: how much cash did I have to stump up) was far, far less than FOW. They might be worth considering if you don't have any sort of trade-in (perhaps I was unlucky with the vehicles I looked at). Personally, I wouldn't bother. I found the "price to change" is the best gauge to compare car deals : on that basis, FOW cannot compete with my local main dealer!
