Good Points

I was most impressed with the attention to cleanliness on this ship. The friendliness of the crew has to be experienced to believe. The quality of food in all restaurants is first class. The ship has recently had a makeover and was looking very smart.


Bad Points

The only bad point was I felt that the swimming pool was a bit on the small side. Wanted to join in the great atmosphere in the pub but unable to due to amount of smoke.


General Comments

On the one night of poor weather that we had whilst on the Island Star, the Captain showed his experience and altered course and adjusted speed so that we hardly noticed the storm. The Shore excursions are a bit expensive and I am glad to see they have dropped Palermo for next season as we found it absolutely filthy and not recommended. Favourite stop was Mahon. The quality of entertainment in the Bounty Lounge and the Ocean theatre was first class, although as a non smoker I could not enjoy the excellent music in the Sundowner pub due to the smokey atmosphere.
