Unputdownable - a compulsive read.
I can't help feeling a little likea ghoulish voyeur.
Overall a very good read. I've recently read other books about prison experiences and have yet to figure out what it is that attracts me to them. Perhaps reading about the horrors others have suffered and survived adds value to ones own existence. Makes me realise I shouldn't complain too much about the boredom of an occasional 12 hour bus driving shift, anyway.
Maybe I'm gullible (I'd like to think I'm not) but The Damage Done struck me as a very honest account. I'd like to know what Mr Fellows is up to now; whether the recovery process has moved on or stalled, for example.
And just on the off-chance that he gets to find out, I'd like to thank him for taking the trouble to write about his experiences; it must have been painful.
