Unique hyrdraulic unfolding system is fantastic and is easily assembled and de-assembled in seconds! Very versatile travel system if bought with car seat and easy base. Turns on a sixpence and looks great!
Is expensive but shop around for package deals. Hydraulic brakes can be tricky sometimes to put on.
We have had our Quiny Buzz Jogger Stroller (2008 model) for 3 months now and simply cannot fault it. We shopped around alot and I read a hundred and one reviews before taking the plunge and can honestly say it was well worth the money. The 2008 model does differ to the previous models as they have improved certain aspects of it. One of the difficulties with the old model was that when you folded the frame down you had to fight to keep it down whilst trying to attach a retaining cord that prevented it from unfolding itself (the buzz has a unique hydraulic system that makes the frame unfold by itself) , which admittedly was a bit fiddly (I spent a bit of time playing with it at a local retailer) but not impossible. The 2008 model has replaced the cord with a plastic clip so all you have to do is push the frame down and the plastic clip flicks into place securely holding it all flat. To unfold the frame you simply pull the clip to one side and give the pram handle a bit of a flick and then stand back to watch the frame spring into life-an absolutely simple and brilliant unfolding mechanism. I have never had any problems with fingers getting caught etc as claimed by other users and all I can say is they can't have read the instructions properly or asked for a demo from a retailer!! The other difference is that the 2008 model comes complete with an extra seat for when your child is a bit larger. I had read complaints that children grew out of the previous models too early which was a cause for concern given the cost of the Buzz but now that it comes complete with the extra large seat it is guaranteed to see us through. We bought our Buzz as a package which included the buzz frame and pram seat including the extra large seat, the maxi-cosi cabriofix car seat, the Dreami carry cot, and the cabrio fix easy base. We also bought the foot muff, shopping basket, rain cover and parasol. Obviously that lot came to a tidy sum but we shopped around and got a great deal off the net. The car seat and carry cot can easily be taken on and off the frame making it very versatile depending on where you are going and what you are planning to do. The car seat in conjunction with the easy base is an absolute dream being able to just lift the car seat off the frame and drop it into the base without having to disturb your child and also saves so much back ache and faffing around trying to get the seat belt long enough to fit round the car seat. We thought a lot about whether to bother with the base or not before buying it given the extra cost but I really can't recommend it enough. The shopping basket attaches to the underside of the frame and isn't huge but at the end of the day the buggy is there to carry your child not your shopping!! We manage to get our change bag into it as well as the rain cover and there is still space left over in the buzz bag that comes with the buggy. Now that our child is 3 months we have started to use the actual pram seat and again I can't fault it. The seat can be slid on to the frame with ease and can be set so your child faces you or faces away and has different settings for you to recline or sit your child up. The seat comes with a hood and once again I think Quinny made some alterations to the 2008 model to rectify some of the previous problems with the hood not giving enough shade etc. We bought a parasol to go with our buggy so used together we haven't had any problems. The buggy handle is extendable for taller or shorter users and having read reviews complaining that it's too short resulting in you kicking the buzz bag the users clearly hadn't bothered extending the handle! Having read some of the negative reviews about this buggy I can't help but think that these users simply didn't research the buggy enough before buying it to see if it meets their requirements and also didn't get someone to demonstrate how to fold and unfold it. I would really recommend visiting a local retailer and take your time having a good play with it to make sure you are happy with how it all operates. I'm probably making it sound quite complicated to use but it really couldn't be simpler!
