More leg room on the planes we were on, possibly a wider aisle. I thought so. Comfortable and clean. Accommodating staff. On time.
Static in headsets for movies (English. Spanish was clear).
No meal on LAX to MEX to CUN flight (very long redeye) but a decent snack.
On the direct CUN to LAX ,much shorter flight, minimal dinner. Pass on Chicken, rice, soy sauce and sprouts (on a plane full of people?). No dressing or butter. (Catering issue)
Website is not good, slow, can't pick choice seats or check in online. Can't look up if flight has meals or not.
I chose Mexicana with Travelocity as it was the best price over a few months time. I was sceptical because of the negative reviews. We were very pleased. Staff accommodated us, gave us requested seats at the airport. Actually, JAL, Quantus, American and maybe another airline were all on our same flight anyway. Customs going through Mexico city on the outgoing was fast and easy. People in CUN told us they had to wait 2 hours, about our layover time.
The only real negative the entire trip could have happened at LAX. and been their problem. The entire place was under construction and we won't go through there again if it is ever possible. There was damage (grey paint) on my husbands new expensive luggage (as well as many other peoples). Could it have come from the ground construction rather than the plane? I bet it is possible. A direct flight.
Customs in LAX was a pain. Too much construction to have anything go smoothly. I would avoid Bradley LAX rather than the airline.
