Very very poor
My Family Wife and 2 young children were booked on Easy Jet flight 7113 to Mahon on 16/7/08 we arrived with ample time and there were huge queues at check in where we waited 45 mins. Eventually we were ushered to a new check in by an Easy Jet rep, our bags were then checked in and we proceeded up the stairs towards the shops and passport control where there was a huge queue tailing back to boots, we waited and waited some 25 mins then I spoke to an airport rep and paid £8 to express check in which again took an incredible 20 mins to get through we then ran to our gate (9) to be told that the gate had just closed!
All this could have been easily avoided if Airport staff and Passport Control would have been functioning efficiently and quickly. The Easy Jet staff ushered us back to check in where we were given our cases and advised by the easy jet desk the next flight we could take out of Liverpool to Mahon would be on Saturday 19th July,or we could go to Gatwick at our own expense! I felt most of their staff were un-sympathetic towards my family.
Eventually we got a flight on Thursday 17th from Bristol with Easy Jet which they charged us an additional £140.00 for we also had to get a Taxi home to Parkgate from the airport at a cost of £50 plus we are having to Hire a car to get us to Bristol tomorrow With Europecar at a cost of £85, all this having spent over £2000.00 on a holiday left us feeling very upset.
I have to say we were very disappointed and upset with the whole episode. I have used Liverpool on many occasions and I trust that we will receive compensation for this upsetting situation caused.
