It looks really nice - black and shiny - just what i wanted but to get this smart looking model i had to pay approx £1300 from John Lewis - had to wait approx 8 weeks for delivery - that was all in October 2005 and really pleased!
Arrived fridge became very noisy and yes a road-drill could compare. Then the noise stopped and so did the fridge. Have telephoned in to customer care who have now arranged for an engineer to repair for next week. Have had to take a days holiday as Samsung will not give a specific time, only a day.
When I complained that it was annoying to have to take holiday to have an expensive fridge repaired that Samsung did not advise of the apparent design fault which everyone experiences. Samsung have advised me that it was only the fridge that they have as faulty - reading the comments on this site it would appear that the freezer is or could be faulty too. I was told by a person at Samsung that I should not complain really as they were repairing the fridge free of charge, but wait a minute I paid hard earned money for this! Do I not have a right to complain? I also feel Samsung could not care less about the food that I have to place in the dustbin, they just told me to simply claim on my insurance. I also telephoned John Lewis who surprised me immensely as they offered no help but redirected me to Samsung.
