The Acoustic Solutions DVD 263 is a twin screen in car DVD player with 7in LCD screens that attach to the rear of the front seat headrests. It has an impressive specification and comes with a complete set of accessories including a bag and two pairs of earphones. The picture quality is surprisingly good. At a price of £79.95 in the Argos sale it appeared a fantastic bargain. It currently (July 2008) retails in the UK at about £130. This DVD player is let down by appalling build quality. On the first one I tried the second DVD screen did not work requiring the unit to be returned. The second unit worked and was a hit with my children on first use. However the main screen gaped at one corner due to poor moulding inside the case and had to be held together by cellotape. It was very annoying to get working since switching the car ignition on and off appeared to completely confuse the unit, requiring a reset. After just this one journey the second screen failed completely requiring a return to Argos, and after some argument a full refund. Overall, let down by appalling build quality. Avoid.
