Good Points
The caravan view, the staff and the family friendly feeling of the park

Bad Points
Our first caravan. No take away food after 10pm in hayle!

General Comments
We have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday in the Haven Riviere Sands park June 30th to July 5th 2008. The weather although windy was really warm (high 20's) and the atmosphere on the park was relaxed and friendly. We had no problems with any loud or disruptive holidaymakers and security teams were seen to be patrolling the park often which gave us a real sense of safety. The park was clean well laid out and easy to navigate. When we arrived in the park we were too early to check in but the reception staff pointed us to the Bluff Inn pub where were able to access the gorgeous beach and views. If you park your car in the car park we found an easier and a less steep access to the beach a little further on (carry on the same road the bluff inn is on till you come to a large gate and the entrance to the beach which has less of a gradient and is just about accessible with a pram but not a wheelchair).

Once we had checked in and got our keys to our prestige caravan we set off to see it, unfortunately we were very disappointed by the quality of the caravan and were unimpressed with the many faults it seemed to have. We went straight back to reception to register our complaints... the two ladies on reception were extremely apologetic and offered to replace the items we had concerns about and send in the cleaners again but this was going to take some time and we did not feel that it would have helped (the caravan was pretty bad!)

They were unable to find us another caravan of the same model at that time and after some deliberation they presented us a very reasonable offer to upgrade to one of the exclusive models... which, it turns out, was one of the best caravans we have ever had! It was of very high quality and standard!! The views were outstanding and the build quality and comfort of the caravan was impressive.

I feel that the one of the staff members did everything possible to help us. They made our holiday a very enjoyable one!

The park entertainment was friendly and fun, people appeared to love the family bingo and the kids clubs and events were good, my children especially liked the aqua gliders (my youngest was a little upset that at 7 and a half she was 6 months too young to do the aqua jets). The pool was small but we liked this and it did not really cause any problems.

We did have problems trying to find some fish and chips in Hayle after 10pm as everything was closed! We ended up getting food from the kebab shop!

I would highly recommend looking up country skittles restaurant just outside Hayle, they serve fantastic food at reasonable prices and the skittles, crazy golf, shooting range and games room were great fun and did not cost the earth!

I would recommend Haven Riviere Sands to anyone, The staff are really helpful the park facilities are great for families who want a relaxing break and the park is a great base for exploring this part of Cornwall

We will definitely be going again!!
