Good reliable car that will serve boy racers and small families alike. Cheap to run, depending on which model you go for, quite sporty but all of them are good looking cars.
Plastic interior, awful gear change, not much power in anything less than a 1.6.
I bought my Peugeot 206 in 2003 (53 plate) brand new. Its the 2003 special edition Entice model and havent had any problems (until yesterday!). It has now covered 42k when I noticed a collection of 'oily scum' in the water bottle. Having noticed it has been consuming loads more water than normal, I realised this is a tell tale head gasket problem. Having taken it to my local garage, they have assured me this is very common on Peugeot's and Citroens and I'm lucky its lasted this long! This is certainly one thing to bare in mind if your buying one as this has cost me £420 to fix. However, that is all it has cost me to date so I'm not too bothered even though I think major things like this should last a lot longer! Over all a great car that I would recommend.
