Good Points

Long distance comfort. Handles well at free way speeds. Plenty of storage space, especially with the optional top box.

Bad Points

Engine and transmission air filters are near ground level. If you ride in sand or on dusty roads, you'll be busy changing filters.

General Comments

I bought my Yamaha Majesty in the fall of 2005 and today, 15 July, 2008 I have 20,350 miles on it. Two years ago I rode to Dallas from here in East Ky. Miles for that trip was 2400 total. I just returned from a 1600 mile round trip. I have ridden in rain storms and 40 F degree winter. The fairing is great for deflecting the wx. My longest mileage day was 830 miles. The Majesty is comfortable. I can lock my knees and relieve the pressure on my butt. MPG varies of course depending on speed, but I get as bad as 54 to as good as 67. I never feel underpowered. A lot of big bikers stopped looking down their nose when they learned of the miles on my ride. I traded my 1600 cc Road Star and have NEVER looked back. The majesty is easy to handle in traffic, busy parking lots or crusing down the interstates. I guess this will be the last bike I ever buy. I am age 67.
