General Comments

Made the mistake of taking sunday lunch in a beefeater restaurant in sewardstone road epping/chingford. I thought the food was truly awful.
The 'Roast Beef' looked like it came from a packet, coloured grey and not a hint of rareness and as if it had spent the last year of it's existence in a packet rather than part of a living organism, heated up in a microwave. The sort of thing we used to get at school.
'Roast' potatoes appeared to have been cooked in a deep fat fryer. Cauliflower and Broccoli served 'bald' without any sauce (or any flavour except from the bitterness of the Brocolli). I think you can get away with Cauliflower like this but not Brocolli. Beans were not so much 'El Dente' and 'Broken Tooth' they were so undercooked. The gravy wasn't bad but I don't think it could have been made from the Roast Beef as it seemed the Beef hadn't been Roasted!
Didn't bother to tell the truth when asked 'If everything was alright?' as I felt that EVERYTHING was truly horrible and I didn't fancy having a running argument with a member of staff.

Overall I would suggest if you want sunday lunch, go father out of London until you hit civilisation, there are some good sunday lunch pubs in essex but you have to go far way from London...
