Helpful, polite staff.
Bad Points
Unfortunately, helpful polite staff get their facts wrong! Sainsbury's seem to have stopped new applications for some breeds altogether, such as Bernese Mountain dogs, although they renew existing policies for these - but I really don't want to know what they increased their premiums to. Also created new category of "selected breeds" - these include Alsations, Great Danes, Greyhounds, Rottweilers etc. Premium rates for these must be pretty much the highest in the country!
General Comments
I was horrified when my renewal documents arrived, the premium quoted had more than doubled to over £500.00 - in words: five hundred pounds! for a four year old dog, no claims. This is due to the "selected breeds" invention - see above. Selected breeds means, I quote from their Policy booklet "Bulldog, Estrela Mountain dog, German Shepherd (Alsatian), Great Dane, Greyhound, Irish Wolfhound, Leonberger, Newfoundland, Old English Sheepdog, Rottweiler, Pyrenean Moutain Dog and St Bernard". If you own one of these, don't bother to get a quote, if you have already one assured with them, be afraid, be very afraid of the renewal invitation, and if you can, change insurers, even Pet Plan is significantly cheaper ! Oh, and I forgot, the excess for the "selected breeds" is £125.00 per condition! Value for money - don't make me laugh. "Best Online Pet Insurance?" - not this year, amigos.

I found this review unhelpful because... yes they have selected breeds now, the only problem i have with that is that that didn't do it sooner. you expect someone with a ferrari to pay more on car insurance but not a breed of pet that cost a bomb to treat?
