Fast results
No thinking of food
Superb counselling sessions
You must be over 3stone overweight so not stuck in a group of skinny minnies!
A very tough 1st week
Can be seen as costly
I am coming up to week 7 of the LighterLife programme and have lost just over 2 stone in 6 weeks and dropped 2 dress sizes - something I never dreamed I could do.
This diet isn't for everyone that's for sure, but if, like me you've tried every other diet out there then this is a fantastic option. You have 4 food packs a day - soup, shake or bar - all come in a variety of flavours. You then don't have to think about food, it's great! I know some people state that they have no life whilst doing the programme but I would disagree - I have been clubbing, to parties, wedding receptions, bbqs and even for an indian meal with the rest of the family.
The counselling is amazing and helps you explore the reasons why you over eat and offers alternatives for those times.
The programme is costly and £66 is an awfully large amount of money but when you add up what you spend on shopping, takeaways, filling the car (and your face!), coffee breaks etc it does just about break even - I just wish this programme was available on the NHS to all!
The first week is tough, there's no denying that but when you're through the initial detox stage it's great. I've had no side effects mentioned by others. As part of the programme, you must see your doctor every 4 weeks for a quick check and my surgery is just amazed at the results.
Overall - I would say go for it without a doubt. There is no way that if you stick with the diet you won't lose weight.
