Like I said- a little noisy with trams, sirens etc but that is only to be expected in a busy city centre and you do have aircon should you wish to close your windows in warmer weather.
Fabulous clean, tidy and spacious apartment. We too were told that we were staying in the block on Wenceslas Square and could not have wished for a better location for sight seeing and ease of access to all main attractions. We found the receptionist in Vodickova street very informative, courteous and helpful. Our apartment had a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and plenty of clean, fresh, comfortable bedding, a great shower and a good amount of cutlery and crockery and pots and pans. The apartment overlooked the Square which in high season could be a little noisy but with the windows closed and aircon on you don't notice. Prague is a fantastic city and I will certainly visit again and stay in the Vodickova. They also picked us up at the airport for £10 and were punctual and a fantastic cab driver gave us a guided tour on the way to the hotel.
Do visit the Countrylife vegetarian restaurant - cheap and plentiful veggie food delicious even for you non veggies - we had takeaway for 3 to eat in the park for £11. total.
Do wear comfy shoes if you are doing lots of walking as loads of cobbled streets. Some restaurants charge more for eating outside - ask beforehand. If you do the boat-trip it's cheaper down by the quay on the riverside the other side of the bridge. We found out that they change the guard up at the castle at midday-very ceremonial and quite regal. If you are a student take your student card as big discounts for students in most big attractions. Take sunscreen if you go in the Summer it was 84 deg when we went in July and very hot.
