General Comments

I've had Frist Call European breakdown cover for the last 3 years and 18 months ago I was unlucky enough to have my head gasket blow on a Saturday night in deepest darkest Belgium! I called First Call and they handed me off to their European centre in Holland who were excellent. The car was towed off the motorway in about 1 hour and they arranged a taxi to Brussels and had booked me into a hotel. I took the Eurostar back to London on the Sunday and First Call arranged for the car to be taken to a garage on the Monday morning. Two weeks later I returned by Eurostar to pick up the car and sent a copy of the receipts for the travel and Hotel (about £400) to First Call. Five days later I received a cheque for the full amount. Fantastic service! They do only allow one callout per problem (i.e. of you have a faulty battery on one day and then call them out for the same issue the next day) they will charge you for callouts but so do the RAC ( £59) so this is nothing new. Great service and highly recommended.
