When new, it worked fairly well.
Extremely temperamental regarding discs. Some days it'll copy on every Sony disc you feed it, another day it'll ruin every single one.
The menus seem to have a mind of their own and some features need accessing 3 times before the selection will 'hold'.
The Lite-On LVW-5045 is good for recording to HDD and playing back, not so good as a DVD recorder. Hit and miss jittery menus, extremely fussy over which disc it'll write too. Ruins as many discs as it records. You really don't need the aggro. I've come very close to taking an axe to it. When I've finished copying my last 5 VHS tapes, I think I will.
