General Comments

Norton Internet Security 2007 killed my PC performance - especially the LUCallback/Proxy task. The PC scan finds and fixes the same thing everytime - hardly reassuring that it's doing anything at all. I upgraded from 2004 but the new version had more bugs than the old. I bought it with a 2 year license but after 9 months I can take it no longer. I'm going to buy other software and will never go back to Semantec Software

There's a new minimalist interface and a silent-running firewall. The lack of alert pop-ups doesn't mean a lack of security, though - Norton just gets on with the job in the background.
