I got the same CPU a week ago. Put it in my Asus M2N 32-SLI Deluxe WiFi Edition Board, with 2xgeforce 9600 512MB Cards and 1x2 GB basic ram Vista prem x64 bit O/S. Until i get some Crucial! My 1st ever SLI rig! The 6000+ just works great especially with the cool and quiet. It puts itself into low gear (1000MHz) until you want it to work! And for the price it truly is a great CPU. It was very easy to fit also. No messing about!
Looking back I made the right choice just to get my rig up and running. And this has given me some major insight.
I'd definitely recommend the amd athlon 64 x2 6000+.
