Good Points

Rats are clean and don't need to be prepared if you want to feed them to your snake.

Bad Points

Staff wouldn't sell me the rats when they thought I was going to feed them to my pet snake.

General Comments

I used to trap rats locally in a field near my house, but found that occasionally, they would make my snake ill. The vet recommended I purchase food especially for him, so I tried Pets at Home. After chatting to the girl on the till for a few minutes, she realised that I wanted rats for snake food. She refused to supply me with any rats or rabbits and asked me to leave. If you want advice - don't tell them you want them for food - say it's for "keeping as a pet".
