I've just landed back home this morning after a very good fortnight at Sands Beach. The villas are probably the best I've ever stayed in, you could actually make a proper meal in them and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort is very spacious so there is never the problem of not getting a sunbed as there are 7 pools. We were in the plaza verde and the villas, as I said were fantastic.
Too many kids running around in bar. Its ok if it's your own kids who are with you, but otherwise it can be an annoyance. The other thing is the wind which is a general problem all over Lanzarote. Sometimes it could be a nice breeze, but other times it was very strong and irritating.
It is a modern resort and complex, although it is right at the end of Costa Teguise and it is a good 10 min walk into town, but if you like that, then you will enjoy it. Luxurious, well-equipped villas and friendly staff means I would definitely come back. The only criticism I would have is it may be too spread out and everyone is almost too independant and you don't get the opportunity to chat or mix with others for company. However, as I said I'd certainly go back.
