Using the right pellets can produce good accuracy. I tried different pellets, mostly match pellets I use with my Feinwerkbau 100 match pistol. Just like with my Feinwerkbau the different pellets gave different results, obviously not as accurate as my Feinwerkbau. The best pellets were "Air Arms Ultimate CO2 Pistol Pellets".
The trigger pull could be lighter.
I bought this revolver second hand from a Gunsmith and I have not regretted buying it. The first pellets stuck in the barrel so I cleaned the barrel bore with oiled cotton pellets and it has worked well since. The first pellets I used were match pellets and they needed a clean barrel bore because the pellets were a tight fit. I found the trigger pull too strong at first and it took me a couple of days to become used to it. Now with the Air Arms pellets the R-77 produces pleasing results. If the Gamo R-77 was not accurate enough I would not have had much use for it. I use my WALTHER PPK/S for general interest. My Feinwerkbau for the better target shooting. An Olympic Gold medal has been won using a Feinwerkbau 100. I had a problem with the laser but cleaning the batteries solved that. (the 3 batteries are not new) My R-77 sights are set how I like them to be.
