All metal gun. Sits nicely in the hand. Realistic replica. Has both double and single action and the double action has a crisp let off point with no drag, which is sometimes found with CO 2 weapons.
Safety catch is to the left and a left handed shooter would possibly have difficulty with it. Fore sight small and easily lost when aiming.
This is a copy of the Russian police service pistol, made by Baikal in Russia. The instruction book is in both Russian and English, with the English translation being excellant.
There is a certificate of authentication at the back, which also shows its date of manufacture, preservation and storage dates.
The sights are fixed, so nothing to come loose here, however, the fore sight is the same colour as the rest of the gun, mat black, and is easily lost when aiming. I highlighted the back of mine with a little Tipex and that solved the problem.
The grips are plastic, have thumb grooves and the appearance is very realistic.
70 good shots can be had from a CO 2 capsule and are powerful enough to penetrate empty tin cans at 8 yards.
The magazine is authentic, of metal construction, with a swivel lanyard clip in the centre. The magazine slides into the base of the hand grip and is released by a catch to the rear. Besides holding the CO 2 capsule it also doubles as the shot magazine, which runs down the front and is spring loaded to push the next round into position.
However, this is a BB gun, which means it fires ball bearings, not air gun pellets. Neverthless it's a fun gun for serious plinking, and for what it is, is surprisingly accurate. The magazine holds 13 BB's. To re load, the entire magazine comes from the gun, together with the CO2 capsule, which has a sealed nipple to prevent leakage when the unit is withdrawn.
So far I've not had any problems with the design
When I bought mine, which was before the ban on postal sales, the price was reasonable. Price now may be the deciding factor as it is not as powerful as a standard CO2 pistol and has to be shot over a smaller distance.
