Initial service was great, everything delivered when expected and after installation our bathroom looked wonderful
Beware - only a 12 month warranty, and unable to assist with my faulty/split roll top bath
We are currently in the process of replacing a Cambridge Roll Top Bath, which after only 4 years of use split from end to end. We initially tried to claim on our house insurance, but they couldn't help us as they felt it was a manufacturing fault. We then contacted our supplying branch of bathstore (Cheadle). We sent them a copy of the report, along with photographs of the split bath. They came back to us saying it must be an installation problem and they would need to send someone round to inspect it. Their local installer came round and whilst he commented on how well the bath had been installed he also agreed that it was a manufacturing fault and he would report back accordingly.
On chasing bathstore a couple of days later we were informed that the area manager had decided that they couldn't help us as the bath was out of its 12month warranty and she didn't know the history of the baths use!
Six weeks on we are waiting for delivery of a new bath, from a firm who can offer us a lifetime guarantee, something I wished I had checked 4 years ago! Once the new bath is in I will be writing to bathstore again, this time with a copy of our bill.
