Exceptional value. Really impressed with the cabins, spacious, fresh and clean and we were upgraded to one with a balcony (metal/opaque one). Food was marvelous, beautifully presented and and there was a variety of healthy options every day, as well as the fry-ups if that is your thing.
Buffet dining unlike the posh, waiter service we receive on P&O. Sunbathing decks with pool were overcrowded and off-putting. People were packed like sardines so we rarely went there. Food whilst excellent and wonderful value is not fine-dining, in saying that it was easier to be careful with the quantity of food we ate etc. and return the same weight as when we left!
We were really impressed with Ocean Village. We thought it might be a bit like Butlins on water but it was not it was super. Fantastic value (half the price of P&O - last cruise) Really nice and friendly people. Food was excellent although buffet/dining not waiter service unless you plumped for La Luna restaurant or other speciality restaurant and pay the extra which are good other options. Some folk ate in La Luna nightly. The cabins were particularly nice, clean and spacious with good decor. We were impressed with this. And we were also upgraded, which seems to be the OV policy when better rooms are available.
