Good Points

Have always found connection quick and reliable.

Bad Points

Tariff and "extra" charges impossible to get info about, and some seem excessive, making it extremely difficult if not impossible to manage use of the card balance!. This includes a standing balance deduction per day even when the card is not used!

General Comments

I have used these cards for over a year now, and recently noticed that diminishing balances were grossly out of proportion to actual usage, so I started to monitor. After many instances where my balance was being reduced without my using the card, and charges were far higher than advertised, I found that
1. There is a standard deduction of 10p per day even if the card is not used.
2. The Freephone connection is not free, but actual rates of charge for its use are not readily available.
3. There are also connection and call duration "additional" charges, which appear to be "variable".
4. After one use of the card it is possible to run down the balance to zero without using the card again, because of the standing daily charge!
5. Depending on all the variable factors, it is impossible to achieve anything like the alleged value of the card in call time available.
6. For the same reasons, managing time/balance is impossible.
