1) Conversion of St Werburgh's church was pleasing yet poorly lit.
2) Chairs were comfortable, however, the table was far too big (and sticky).
Wokmania, Cheapside was an incredibly disappointing evening for us. Who would have thought that such reputable chain of restaurants would deliver such a dismal service on this occasion.
Not visiting again, actively discouraging others. Our bad points were -
1) WORST QUALITY FOOD EVER SERVED IN ANY BUFFET RESTAURANT. Chewy prawn crackers and spring rolls, main dishes either bland or over seasoned, cold, soggy, dripping in oil... sauces congealed, noodles raw, desserts sloppy, I can only describe the fruit as in later stages of life, wonderful chocolate fountains with nothing but jelly babys to coat in chocolate.
2) Cutlery provided for self service hotter than the food, after being under buffet cart lights, which is a safety hazard.
3) Limited choice of drinks (they had run out of coca cola, lemonade and pineapple juice on our visit- so we opted for water which I felt had a strong sense of chlorine).
4) Staff I dealt with had a very interesting attitude to say the least.
5) Crockery either unreplenished, dirty or still wet from the quick rinse.
6) Cutlery that I picked up was filthy.
7) Kitchen visible from the buffet, not a problem in itself however it was in such a state to what I am used to.
8) Whilst we were there we only witnessed two dishes being replaced - fried rice (terrible) and gelatin sweets.
9) All the salad I selected I found to be soggy, unappealing, dressings by ASDA in original packaging (note: we actually quite like ASDA, but we would have visited ASDA had we wanted to consume ASDA goods).
10) Table had been furnished with a tea light at some point in the past however all we found was its metal casing as it must of brunt out and was not replaced.
11) Overall, I would say from my experience it was overpriced, especially considering points 1-10 I gave it.
