NONE! THEY ARE THE WORST EVER!!!
- Yes, makes Paypal look like a walk in the park!

-unreliable
- There computers at the service center are always crashing
- Be prepared to sit on phone for over an hour & then be told they can't process.
I have had the displeasure of having to use Western Union. With one of my vendors in Hong Kong. First of all the first time I tried to send money, I had spent time trying to make the payment over the internet and was then told to call to verify. After waiting 30 mins on the phone, I spoke with a man who asked me everything from social ins # DOB, etc... After I gave him all that info his system crashed. Then had to do it again. Once I gave him all the info he said the charge couldn't go through, as there was a prob with the card. I called the credit card co. and sorted out. The next day I did the same thing. Waited on the phone for way to long then spoke with an agent who took all my info then said she couldn't process the order. After being on the phone with Western Union for over two hours in 24 hrs for one payment under $1000 wanted to know why. She said she couldn't tell me why. My business requirements weren't met. I was extremely frustrated as I am a legit business and answered all her questions honestly & promptly I found this to be most frustrating. after being assured that there was no way the funds would go through I told her about the call the previous night and she then put me on hold then came back and said ok, she could send the funds. When I asked her why now, she said ' didn ' t know you did that last night?' I thought that was very strange, an inconsistent. I now today tried the same process, online (said my avail sending limit is $60) so called Western Union was put through to 3 different individuals, terrible phone connections, they could ' t hear anything (had the same prob. before) I was put through to one individual who said for me to send funds over the phone would cost me $25 to Hong Kong & $68 online (the next agent then told me it would cost $68 to send over the phone) she then said she would put me through to someone who could send the funds for me. Once going through the entire process and answering all her questions, her system crashed!!!! again, I had to give her my details, after being on the phone with Western Union for almost an hour she said ' sorry ma ' am, we can ' t send the funds your business doesn ' t reach the requirements' when I asked her what it was that she needed for me to be able to send the funds she said she couldn ' t tell me! I understand security, but this is just weird & illogical. She said I could only go to a Western Union & pay by cash! Why would I do that???? If I wanted to pay cash why wouldn ' t 't I just send a fax to my bank to wire the funds, and avoid the hassle & inconvience of Western Union & your ridiculous fees! This is the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with. I use PayPal on a regular basis to pay for merchandise overseas and have never had to deal with such incompetence. I got understandably very irritated with her and asked to speak with a supervisor, she put me on hold, after waiting 10 mins, I decided this is a joke and hung up, she called me back promptly and said ' sorry ma ' am we were able to send the funds through' I thanked her and hung up. Five mins later I got another call from her saying ' sorry we weren ' t able to send the funds, your business doesn ' t reach the requirements' I think Western Union is a joke. I don ' t know how you are still around. And have had my time wasted. As a new mother with a business to run I can ' t believe what incompetence there is over there & inconsistency. If my business doesn ' t 't reach your requirements to send money, then I don ' t know who will! I have seen Western Union often used for those scams for sending money, and if that is the type of customer you would rather have, than actually legit businesses, then good luck. Western Union better sort itself out, you need better computer systems obviously for one, better phone lines, so people can actually hear each other, and consistency. Why am I always told I can ' t then can? Why am I quoted different sending amounts from your operators? Why can ' t you ask me questions and find out more about my business to make it so I do reach your business requirements? Why can I send funds one time than not the next? If I was an investor I would be seriously scared! Investing in Western Union is not a good idea, as nobody knows what the hell they are doing over there! And in this day and time you better get with the program, otherwise companies like PayPal, will squash you, if they haven ' t already! It ' s an absolute mess over there! Don ' t you tape all conversations? I think you should start listening to those conversations to improve yourselves. I am in complete & utter shock that Western Union is still in business!
