After the first 3 months the gym fee goes down to £5/month... until they decide to increase it again.
The incessant "we are changing details in your plan" and increases in fees.
Having realised that some people use the gym dishonestly, a cap on the number of times you can go was introduced. This essentially limits you to reach the maximum allowable number of points and go beyond your status (bronze, silver...) to obtain cheaper prices.
Secondly, the fact that Vitality points, and not gym visits as is well advertised, will recently mostly contribute to decreasing your gym membership fee is absolutely unfair.
It should not because you read a couple of their website articles or buy fruit and veg from one of their partners that you should get a lower gym membership. It is astounding that my gym membership should increase 1000% (granted with a few months notice, enough time in order for me to cancel it!). This is totally unfair seeing as, as a member, I have signed up for 12 months and it is Pruhealth that seem to have totally changed the game.
