Good Points

Excellent performance have a 192bhp, 06 plate and bought from new, still love the car. I have 2 young toddlers and the room in the back is fantastic, the back doors are such a positive. I wanted a real 4 seater without performance compromise - this car delivers by the bucketload. Styling is great, it holds so well. The Bose stereo system is fantastic and the 6 disc changer great too. Love the manual gearbox, in my opinion a sports car is for drving on the edge and tis doesnt disappoint. There are faster cars around but not with this spec and room for 4.


Bad Points

A little twitchy in the wet and the undercarriage is made from toughened plastic and very low down, a nightmare for speedhumps - and £300 to replace as the radiator sits at an angle just above. Boot although large for a car this size is awkward with a small opening but then again, not designed for toddlers buggies!


General Comments

I've had none of the reported engine flooding in my MAzda RX-8. Oil comsumption is not as bad as I was led to believe - needs about 2 litres every 3,000 miles. Fuel economy is what you expect from a car that revs to 9000! If your concerned about that, buy a family deisel. The spec leather upholstery is a class above for the money, throw in the performance and styling and you have one sexy motor car. If Carling made coupes for 4 then they would make this one! Need I say more.
