Bad Points

I feel it was the worst quality of food I've ever been served, overpriced and almost inedible.

General Comments

The service at Anchor Inn, Nayland was satisfactory although I was surprised that the waitress did not do customary enquiry as to whether everything was ok with our meals. We ordered a Dexter steak priced £18 which seemed tiny and disgustingly fatty and tasted like an uncooked lump of stewing steak. It was served with a stuffed mushroom which seemed to be filled with dry saxo stuffing mix and half a corn on the cob and half a baked potato. The corn and potato were the only edible items on the plate. My lamb was not much better. Three tiny chops smothered in a barbecue sauce which was not described on the menu and served with overdone salty french fries. All for £14. I feel insulted.
