The driver that did manage to arrive was very professional but appeared to have had a poor briefing from the car company.


General Comments

I found the Booking system for Allied Wedding Cars, Hertfordshire to be very inefficient and confirmation documents illegible. We continually had to remind them that we had paid deposits for two cars. They said it was because they had too many customers with similar names. The phone numbers given for the two drivers were unobtainable when we tried to call them. We eventually obtained a mobile number for one driver the day before the wedding by our own detective work. He said he did not know where he was driving our daughter to as he had not had instructions from Allied. On the day one car arrived for the bridesmaids. He delivered them to the venue but was too late to collect the other attendants from a nearby hotel as he was lost (five minute journey). The bride's car did not arrive so my husband had to drive our daughter to her wedding. She had to get in to a convertible car wearing her wedding dress. I phoned the company when the car looked as if it was not going to get to the house and the office was closed! Two days after the wedding Allied phoned us (but referring to themselves as Pandora Cars) as they had picked up the call on their answerphone. They proclaimed it was not their fault the car had not arrived as he could have died enroute. They were unable to accept that there was a problem two days before and that they should have had a plan in place in case my daughter was let down. My daughter took the stress and disappointment very well but I would not want another bride to go through it or parents of the bride.
