Good Points

The staff at the melia Caya Coco are very helpful, but the hotel itself is dated. Clean, tidy and the gardens are very tidy, as the garderners tend them every day. The al a carte resturants were good, the Italian was gorgeous. Deep sea fishing is class. If you go, you must go to havana, what a place! Don't do the one day, stay overnight, for a country with nothing, The people are so friendly, lovely country.


Bad Points

Hotel could of done with a lick of paint. The breakfast, could of been more choice as every morning it was the same thing. Our rep was rubbish, we booked a james bond style speed boat trip, and rep never told us we could go snorkeling, only found this out when we arrived! Wasn't happy at all.


General Comments

Don't go in our summer, best time to go is feb, march - as no mozzies. Never got bite once (honestly) and the money thing. Before I went last feb 2008, everyone was saying take dollars. Don't, Cubian Peso is all you need. Don't take american express either as charged cubians will refuse it. Understandable if you thinking carribean, Cuba got to be the place! Enjoy we certainly did.
