Extremely helpful staff from planning all the way through to big day itself. Top quality food both for the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet.(Fillet Beef was great as was the Lamb Rogan Josh in the evening). The sunken lounge made a perfect setting for the reception, with ample room for the dance floor. Offset bar for quieter talking with very reasonable bar prices. After a wonderful day just went upstairs to our room.
Very good pricing making us realise you can have a great wedding with having to spend over 10k.
We could not find any bad points at all. The only possible improvement would be possibly having a bridal suite rather than a standard room, but we were that wrecked by that time we did not spend that much time worrying about this!
Even with the Resident DJ having to pull out sick at the last minute the venue found a replacement DJ with relatively no distress to us.
If you are getting married in Derby and need to find a venue for your reception, want somewhere to stay, and want your guests to stay too, don't want to pay crazy hotel prices for rooms and drinks. This could well be the place for you.
We would certainly recommend at least taking a look at the Derby Conference centre we felt that our day could not have been better.
The sunken lounge was dressed to perfection by RedShine Design, Lovely flowers from "Flowers by Joy" in the Derby Market Hall helped set the scene.
We are waiting for our official photo's from B&M photography (who were also great by the way) the husband and wife team put everyone at ease and took the stress out of getting the best shots. The unofficial photo's from our guests in the gardens are very nice so can't wait to see the professional pictures.
