Good Points

Friendly staff, accommodating owner, generally good food.


Bad Points

No atmosphere, some bad food, not an 'Italian' restaurant, expensive.


General Comments

8 of us had decided on an Italian restaurant for our night out & Gambarini's was recommended. We arrived & were shown straight to our table (not surprising as there were only 4 other diners) which was clean & well laid. We ordered starters & whilst the garlic mushrooms were lovely, the mussels tasted a bit gritty. The steaks were divine & melted in your mouth (which they should for £16!) but the 'pasta & pesto' was a bit oily & had far too much garlic for my liking. Generally, I feel that Gambarini's is a restaurant that would benefit from a change of direction as well as a new menu. The prices for some of the dishes was ridiculous considering the type of restaurant it was trying to be.
