General Comments
My Partner and I have been to the other Center Parcs before but not Whinfell, and as it was not originally built by Center Parcs we did not know what to expect.
We booked ourselves into an executive lakeside apartment.
When we arrived we were very pleased with the efficient check-in, good service at the bike hire, and the apartment was absolutely spotless! We were thrilled with the modern decor, and we never once heard any noise from our neighbours.
The Swimming Paradise was just that! The pool areas were clean and safe, the wave pool was great fun and the outside pool was nice and warm! The canyon ride and rapids were closed at the start of our stay for maintenance, but were quickly opened again the day after so I cannot fault that.
We looked at some extra activities but in the end only did minigolf as some activities like the Action Challenge were pricey, considering the price we paid to stay at Whinfell (not extortionate but not budget price).
All in all we had excellent stay! No problems, the staff were helpful if a little grumpy at times, and we will definitely be returning! I would recommend it to anyone!

Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
