I thought Frontier were generally a dreadful company to volunteer with. Where do I start? They continually provided us with wrong information, set us up on a teaching project during the school holidays, sprung numerous extra charges on top of the £900 we had to pay for the project. During the project they provided no staff member who knew anything about the teaching project so we were left to fend for ourselves.
I taught English in Tanzania with Frontier. The project itself was very good - the students really wanted to learn, the local community was wonderful and very welcoming. I had a great time there - Tanzania is a fantastic country.
Volunteering and teaching English is a fantastic way to spend part of your gap year. However, I was really unimpressed with Frontier, as were all other volunteers who were there at the same time as me. Would not recommend them.
