Owned Kia Sorento 2.5 TDI XE 4 Years. On the a nice car good drive etc.
General Comments
Have I been unlucky or are just a poor car? Problems gearbox, drive shafts, wind screen washer pump, brake discs replaced - all these done on waranttee (Lucky). My fuel pump imploded at 42,000 and cause fuel contamination. Outside warantee I was hit with a £4000 repair to replace the whole fuel system. (Not so lucky). Some Service agents give terrible service really had to shop around to get work done. Afraid I can't recommend!

HI, just came across this site and read your post, which has prompted me to post as well, the same thing has just happened to my 2.5d XT Sorento, and the vehicle is in the garage as i write, do not know the full extent of damage yet, and still waiting for the go ahead from Kia to the dealer to authorise the work to be done under warranty, the vehicle has just done 21,000 miles and is just under 3 years old, i bought the vehicle from the Kia main dealer in swansea south wales approx 11 months ago. will hopefully keep the thread up dated as i know more.
