General Comments
Abbey decided to put the interest earned by my ISA over the last two years into my current account. Numerous phone calls, calls into two of their offices and a letter on 4 April 2008 enclosing cheque for the amount involved have failed to get this interest returned into the tax-free zone. What is the point of taking out an ISA if they take interest out of the tax-free area? My advice is to steer very clear of Abbey if my experience is anything to go by. I've spent a fortune in phone calls to the 0845 number, had promises galore that it will all be sorted, and although the individuals I speak to are always very pleasant NOTHING GETS DONE.
