I've got to say this is the second one I have brought the first being two cars put together when I sold it the told me he was takin me to court thank god he didnt, Trouble was I got it from miles away. But I have to say the one I have now is great, I will blow most cars away today raced mi mate in honda civic type r, and have to say not much in it.
Be carefull of rot, They go everywhere floor pan/arches/bulkhead/sills and also the steering rack is common for coming away from the bulk head, Forget the ones with high miles unless been very well looked after forget the hammed ones they will just burn loads of oil. Be beware of the people that have got the 8v car and put the red top in it, they are not the same car look the same yes but many parts are not back axel/brakes etc.
Excellent car if you are lucky enough to find a good one mine has 87000 miles, I've had the engine fully rebuilt by merc, all floor pan done and coted in wax oil, still has the original arches with no rust anywhere still has original sills, now that ' s the kind of one to find but I was looking for 12 months till I found this one. I brought it still with the original tyres and wheels. Not modified in any way. Although I ' ve now put a brand new set of 5 spoke alloys, and a full lowering kit, feels great now. Highly recommend this car if you ' re willing to pay the price to get a good one... A lot of people buy the ones at 400 pound and get 400 pound of scrap. Mine stands me at 1950 pound but well worth the spend.
