Good Points
Very close to medieval town of Dinan, and the sandy beaches.
General Comments
We have just returned from a very relaxing week at La Lohuas. The five gites are situated about three miles from the medieval town of Dinan, around a courtyard, in the centre of which was a fish pond with lots of Koi and other ornamental fish. There is also other livestock around in the shape of cows, a Goose a duck and several chickens, and their babies (in June 2008)
The website does not do justice to the finish of the accommodation. Fixtures, fittings and equipment provided were all of a high order and there were plenty of creature comforts. Gardens, fields, and a covered play area for children means there is plenty of room if everyone decides to hang around, but if you don't, there are plenty of places to see locally, and around Dinard and St Malo there are numerous uncrowded (when we were there) beautiful sandy beaches, all with some kind of catering and all are within about half an hour from the gites.
The manager works tirelessly to ensure all is well, and is always around, but never 'in yer face'. Children love watching and helping to feed the chickens and other fowl, which normally occurs around 10.00. In addition to free range eggs, they can provide unpasteurised milk straight from her cows.
All in all, we cannot wait to get back
