Good Points

Where to start, Glastonbury is so much more than just the music. It's the atmosphere, the connection of everyone there who want to be there, rain hail or shine. This is what adds to over all atmosphere, and when.. Finally..the glorious sun broke through as if by the will of Crowded House's "weather with you" the buzz of the whole festival cranked it up a notch that I've never experienced at any event.

Bad Points

There we so few bad points and the overall feeling of euphoria makes it even harder to think of a bad point in reflection. I would say the worst thing is the stampede of people heading to Shangra La La La Land after the main acts.... But hey, who's complaining... I'm not going to. Even the toilets stayed respectable right through to the end.

General Comments

As a general review of Glasto 2008, it just seemed to have been run better, offering more and more, at every nook and cranny you ventured to. Maybe this was because the weather was better and it was easier to get around, maybe I was just in a different frame of mind than previous years and searched for something more. I thought Kings of Leon put on a fantastic gig which really settled me into the whole thing, and waking up in time to wonder down to the pyrimad stage to see Crowded House play there anthems to a pack crowd, willing the security guards to get involved, before orchestrating a Mexican wave from the back of the crowd to the front. This was a gig with the sun breaking out that set me off for a day of pure chilled out bliss. Wandering around and finding unknown bands like Flipron pumping out there comical, and brilliant tunes... "We've been lusting here for days.. In this funky pungent haize" is a line that will stay with me for quite some time.. Especially if I find myself lusting away for days!

Then random sights like a mechanical drummer, or a spaced out revealer up to god only knows what, or relaxing at stone circle watching the sun go down on another day, knowing that this is the cue for further madness. What kind of madness, we'll that depends on what your looking for.. .but I for one found what I wanted.

Good stuff Glasto... WE LOVE YOU!!!
