Good Points
Good cleaning of carpets and fairly easy to use.

Bad Points
The unreliablity of the machine.

General Comments
Had the Bissell Powerwash Proheat / 1698 Carpet Shampooer and have used a dozen times then and have always cleaned it out thoroughly. On the last attempt to use it, it isn't working, won't spray water, mix soap. My sister has had 2 of these machines and got this for me, she has had exactly the same trouble with hers. I have never used a non Bissell shampoo and have looked after it.

Would never have another of these machines, have gone for the Vax that is very similar, had for about 6 months and it is absolutely fine and washes as well as the Bissell when it works.
