Good Points

Superb secluded position.
Friendly and attentive staff.
Wide range of food. (Buffet style).

Bad Points

Not for the less mobile - it is a 20 minute walk to the town centre.

The bus station is not very accessible - at the back of the town, and about 30 minutes' walk from the hotel. (Did not use).

General Comments

This was our first visit to Ibiza (Majorca prices seemed over the top this year). We weren't disappointed, and found Santa Eulalia suited us very nicely. On arrival at the Sol Ibiza, we were offered a room with a sea view right off the bat, at no extra cost, which was great - we could easily have paid extra for this in advance. There was a fridge in the room, also a self-operated safe deposit box, both free of charge.

The resort is very pleasant, not noisy at all, and there are some excellent bars/restaurants around the bay and the marina. There is a frequent boat connection about 15 minutes' steady walk from the hotel. In this way you can visit Ibiza Town (about 1 hour away), Cala Llonga (20 minutes), as well as Es Cana and the island of Formentera.

We took the boat to Ibiza Town twice. Enjoyed the Old Town very much. Some great views from the terrace near the church, but you have to climb many steep flights of stairs to get there.

Beware of restaurant prices in Ibiza Town - always have a look at both the food and drink tariffs before ordering. We forgot to do this on one occasion and paid well over the odds for a very basic lunch.

There are two excellent, reasonably priced "mini-train" excursions (2 and 3 hours), one from the nearby Hotel Tres Torres and the other from the town centre. Both had guides - on the shorter one the driver kept us well entertained with little bits of comedy. We enjoyed both trips and there was no duplication.

We found our one week stay was just about right, and would recommend Santa Eulalia and the Sol Ibiza to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with some low-key trips and entertainment.
